Pipedrive’s per-seat monthly equivalent is only part of a 10-person team’s budget. The billing cycle, purchased seats, included features, optional add-ons and top-ups determine the subscription total. Separate the monthly equivalent from the amount payable upfront before approving a budget.
Start with the tier, not the sticker price
Pipedrive’s current plans are Lite, Growth, Premium and Ultimate. Essential, Advanced, Professional, Power and Enterprise are earlier plan names. Pipedrive documents transitions from Essential to Lite, Advanced to Growth, Professional or Power to Premium, and Enterprise to Ultimate; check the actual subscription before applying current list prices to an older account. Lite covers basic lead and pipeline management. Full email sync and automations are listed from Growth, so do not budget for Lite if those are required. Premium adds capabilities such as shared team inboxes and enhanced permissions. Choose from the team’s required workflow rather than assuming ten people automatically need a particular tier. Annual vs. monthly: compare the commitment
Annual billing requires payment upfront for the year; monthly billing charges each month. The official pricing page advertises annual savings of up to 42%, which is not a fixed discount for every plan. Compare the current monthly and annual quotes for the same seats and features. Monthly billing may suit an evaluation period or uncertain staffing; annual billing may suit a confirmed workflow when the upfront commitment fits the budget. Add-ons that change the total
LeadBooster, Projects and Smart Docs are optional paid add-ons on Lite and Growth but are included on Premium and Ultimate. Campaigns and Web Visitors remain add-ons across all four plans. Avoid adding a separate LeadBooster charge to a Premium or Ultimate estimate when it is already included. Optional top-ups can also increase subscription cost. Add-ons and top-ups follow the selected plan’s billing cycle. Source: Pipedrive billing and add-on inclusion (accessed September 9, 2026).
What headcount actually costs, worked example
The following calculation uses the USD annual-billing prices displayed on the official pricing page on September 9, 2026. It assumes exactly ten purchased seats, with no separately charged add-ons or top-ups. Prices are VAT exclusive; confirm the applicable currency and final charges in the quote.
| Plan | Per seat monthly equivalent, billed annually | Ten-seat monthly equivalent | Ten-seat annual payment |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lite | US$14 | US$140 | US$1,680 |
| Growth | US$39 | US$390 | US$4,680 |
| Premium | US$59 | US$590 | US$7,080 |
| Ultimate | US$79 | US$790 | US$9,480 |
For example, ten Growth seats cost 10 × US$468 = US$4,680 upfront for one year, equivalent to US$390 per month. US$390 is not a monthly-billing quote. If ten reps need two additional manager seats, twelve Growth seats would instead be 12 × US$468 = US$5,616 annually before extras. These are arithmetic examples using published rates, not negotiated quotes. Source: Pipedrive official pricing (accessed September 9, 2026).
Count managers within the ten seats if the team already includes them. Do not assume different tiers can be assigned to reps and managers within one subscription: obtain explicit confirmation of that arrangement before budgeting for it.
Where the free trial doesn’t tell you the real cost
The pricing page offers a free 14-day trial and describes full access. That does not establish which features your eventual paid plan includes. List the features used during the trial, match them to the intended plan, and confirm any add-ons or top-ups before subscribing. Hidden cost center: seats you don’t actually need active
Pipedrive charges for purchased seats whether or not they are assigned to a user. An unused seat can therefore remain billable; a login audit alone does not establish the number being charged. Compare the purchased seat count in Billing with the access your team needs, and confirm the billing effect of any seat change before relying on savings. Only users with account settings access rights can manage billing. Source: Pipedrive seat billing (accessed September 9, 2026).
The bottom line on real cost
A spreadsheet and manual reminders may be sufficient while a team can reliably maintain ownership, deal history and follow-ups. A paid CRM is a fit when shared pipeline work and the specific features your team needs justify the subscription. For full email sync and automation, evaluate Growth; if you also need tools included with Premium, compare the complete Growth-plus-extras quote with Premium.
Build the estimate from purchased seats, the selected billing cycle and separately charged extras. Review Pipedrive’s current pricing and obtain a quote confirming the plan, seat count, currency, taxes, included add-ons and amount due upfront before approving the budget.
